MAP OF THINGS TO DO!

Lisbon

Try the famous Pastel de Nata from Pastel de Belém (take it to go and chill by the Belem Tower). We were pretty impressed with all the food we had in Portugal.

Do not miss the tacos from Pistol y Corazon and check out Timeout Market – best tacos I’ve had in my lifeee. We were all pretty impressed with the food we had in Portugal. Check out Timeout Market, find some Piri Piri chicken or try some Goan inspired dishes (UPDATE: taco place may be closed?)

Ride one of the funiculars /elevator Lots of very steep streets around the city so wear good shoes and be prepared to walk (think steeper than SF)

Check out Pink Street the entire street is super cute and colorful. Lots of cafes and shops to explore

Listen to Fado
We heard some outside of a restaurant and honestly that was good enough for us! If you’re looking for something more lively checkout Park Bar, rooftop bar on top of a parking garage.

If you have extra time check out Pena Palace in Sintra You have to go early in the morning since the crowds are ridiculous (think Disney world). I would only do the Pena Park if you go (you can walk all along the exterior – inside was not worth the wait!). It’s cool if you want to see a fairy tale castle but only go if you have about 1/2 day extra since its about an hour train outside of Lisboa. Personally would explore the city over this

Porto

Drink lots of Port and Port tonics (white and rose port). Check out the cellars across the bridge for tastings

Check out Duoro Valley We did a day tour through Viator and it was suchhhh a good deal. The hospitality was mind-blowing

Go to Quay Wine Bar wine and cheese with an awesomeee view. If you’re looking for a lively crowd but still a chill spot, check out Base, an outdoor rooftop bar

Go to Livlaria lello It’s the bookstore that inspired HP! Go around closing time 7:30PM for no line!

Try Francesinha and Portugese tapas I personally did not like the Francesinha lol it’s like a croque monsieur with more meat and drenched in sauce. Did like the prego and cod fritters we had at Museu d’avo!

Lagos

Beach hop between the caves! Also check out this cave and kayak tour through seabookings https://www.seabookings.com/es/experiencia/paseo-en-catamaran-y-kayak-a-benagil-desde-portimao
